Day  1 :  Airport  transfer: Yerevan Airport – Yerevan

Day 2 : Gyumri, Gyumri Urban Life (Dzitoghtsyan) Museum, Black Fortress, Lunch stop, Harichavank Monastery

 

On this tour you will visit Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, one of the main cultural centers of the republic. The only Catholic church in Armenia has recently been built in Gyumri. Visiting the Urban Life museum you will discover everyday life, culture and history of Gyumri. There will be a stop at Black Fortress, which is one of the famous monuments of Gyumri. Built in 1834, it is included in the list of intangible monuments of history and culture of the city. Walking through the streets of the town you will see lots of old buildings and feel the spirit of 19th century architecture. The monastery complex of Harichavank, the last stop, is situated on the western slope of Mount Aragats, on a rocky cape.

Day 3 : Khor Virap Monastery, Azat reservoir view point, Lunch stop, Lavash baking master class, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery

This combined tour includes visits of some of the most popular attractions of Armenia. During morning time Biblical Mount Ararat is especially beautiful, so the first stop is foreseen at the closest point to the mountain from Armenia – Khor Virap monastery, from where Christianity in Armenia originates. Afterwards you will have a stop at a special view point and there will be a chance to take nice photos of Azat Reservoir, surrounded with nature. Next on the route is the only pagan temple in Armenia – Garni. See lavash (Armenian thin bread) baking process, which is one of the most beautiful and common Armenian national traditions. And, finally, you will be amazed by the magnificence of the 13th century Geghard monastic complex, partially carved in the rock and included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

Day 4 : Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastery, Tsaghkadzor Ropeway, Lake Sevan, Lunch stop, Sevanavank Monastery

On this tour see Tsaghkadzor, known as valley of flowers, go to Kecharis monastery complex, ride on the ropeway to admire the whole beauty of the place. Afterwards visit Lake Sevan, pearl of this mountainous country. Stop at Sevanavank monastery complex on Sevan peninsula, which can be named the very point from where the whole beauty of Lake Sevan is seen. At the end of the tour you will have an amazing opportunity to taste yummy Sevan trout barbecue!
